Huskies win season opener with strong second half

An eight-point lead over Stony Brook at halftime of the season opener? That didn’t look like the Connecticut Huskies for the first 20 minutes Friday night.
But a big effort on the defensive end got the Huskies in gear, and a 12-0 run to open the second half restored order as UConn pulled away for a 79-52 victory over the Seahawks. (Read More…)
